Broadway strike!

Broadway Strike Weighs on New York City

Great, now I really do have to start reading books. Before I'd just pretend I was reading so I'd look smart.

Couldn't they wait until one massive strike was over before they started another one? I know they're not related, but aggghh. I feel horrible for all the people who flew to New York for a vacation and to see a Broadway show, that would put a massive damper on my trip. Apparently they're all making the best of it and using the time to explore the city, go ice skating, and to see some off-Broadway! The city must be SO crowded, that's thousands of people who are wandering around the city instead of singing along to Wicked in the crowd.

Despite my empathy for the tourists, I'm all for people standing up for unfairness when it comes to their compensation. Too many people work too hard for not enough money. I like participating in theater, but it's not easy, and I can't imagine doing it 8 times a week.

Give the writers and the stagehands their money and nobody will get hurt!

So true! I pay for downloads on iTunes and the writers don't get a dime. What sense does that make?
